はじめに｜ギャラリーは、次のフェーズへ
渋谷アートギャラリー102は、このたび「ART AND CAFE GALLERY(アートアンドカフェ ギャラリー)」としてリニューアルいたします。本リニューアルは、単なる名称変更や内装の刷新ではありません。2018年に「マイクロミュージアム鶯谷」から始まった私たちの活動を、渋谷という都市、そして世界へと本格的に開いていくための転換点です。
これまでの歩み｜マイクロミュージアム鶯谷から渋谷へ
アートアンドカフェギャラリーの原点は、2018年、マイクロミュージアム鶯谷にあります。当初から私たちは、「現代アートを一部のコレクターだけのものにしないこと」「アーティストが継続的に活動できる環境をつくること」をテーマに、実験的な展示と販売を行ってきました。

これらを切り分けるのではなく、ひとつの流れとして捉えるギャラリーの在り方を模索してきました。その思想を引き継ぎながら、渋谷という都市で展開してきたのが「渋谷アートギャラリー102」です。
なぜ今、リニューアルなのか
渋谷アートギャラリー102は、若手・新進気鋭のアーティストを中心に、現代社会や都市文化に向き合う表現を紹介してきました。一方で、活動を重ねる中で、次の問いがより明確になっていきました。
「現代アートは、社会とどう接続すべきか」
「ギャラリーは、展示以上に何ができるのか」
その答えとして辿り着いたのが、ART AND CAFE GALLERY という形です。

ART AND CAFE GALLERY は、従来のギャラリー機能を拡張し、現代アートのためのプラットフォームです。

展示方針｜日本から世界へ
2026年より、ART AND CAFE GALLERY は拠点を渋谷に定め、日本から世界の舞台で活躍するアーティストの作品を継続的に展示します。展示は、マーケットありきではなく、思想・文脈・社会性を重視したキュレーションを基本とします。

海外展開について(2027–)
2027年より、海外での展示企画を本格始動します。対象地域は、アジア、ヨーロッパ、北米を中心に、アート・ファッション・ライフスタイルの文脈と親和性の高い都市を想定しています。私たちは、日本のアーティストを「海外に売り出す」のではなく、世界と対話できる存在として紹介することを重視します。
NO ART NO JAPAN との関係性
ART AND CAFE GALLERY は、アーティストによるアパレルブランド「NO ART NO JAPAN」の母体でもあります。展示で提示された思想や世界観は、アパレルやプロダクトという形で日常へと翻訳されていきます。これは、アートを「展示空間の中」に閉じ込めず、社会に循環させるための仕組みです。
コマーシャルギャラリーとしての立ち位置
ART AND CAFE GALLERY は、現代アートのコマーシャルギャラリーです。しかし、短期的な売買だけを目的とした場ではありません。

Introduction — Entering the Next Phase
SHIBUYA ART GALLERY 102 will be relaunched as ART AND CAFE GALLERY. This renewal is not merely a change of name or interior design. It marks a fundamental transition into a new phase of our activity — one that opens our practice from Tokyo to the world. Our journey began in 2018 with Micro Museum Uguisudani, an experimental space dedicated to rethinking how contemporary art can exist within society. From that starting point, ART AND CAFE GALLERY now moves forward with a clearer mission and a broader vision.
Our Origins — From Micro Museum Uguisudani to Shibuya
ART AND CAFE GALLERY was founded in 2018 as a commercial contemporary art gallery with a strong experimental spirit. From the very beginning, our focus has been: To make contemporary art accessible beyond a limited circle of collectors, To build sustainable economic and creative environments for artists, To connect art with everyday life, not isolate it within institutional frameworks.

Rather than separating these aspects, we have consistently explored ways to integrate them into a single, continuous experience. This philosophy later evolved into SHIBUYA ART GALLERY 102, where we began to engage more directly with urban culture, emerging artists, and contemporary social themes.
Why This Renewal, Now
Through years of exhibitions and dialogue, a central question became increasingly clear:
How should contemporary art engage with society today?
What role should a gallery play beyond presenting exhibitions?
ART AND CAFE GALLERY is our response. We believe that galleries must evolve from static exhibition spaces into active platforms — places where art, people, ideas, and economies intersect.

The Meaning of 'Cafe'
The word 'cafe' does not simply indicate a place to drink coffee. It represents a social device:

By removing unnecessary formality, the cafe element allows visitors to encounter art openly — to talk about it, question it, and reflect on it without intimidation. ART AND CAFE GALLERY is designed to shorten the distance between art and people.
Exhibition Direction — From Japan to the World
From 2026, ART AND CAFE GALLERY will establish Shibuya as its central base. From this location, we will continuously present works by artists who are active in Japan and capable of engaging on an international stage. Our exhibitions prioritize:

Rather than focusing solely on market trends, we aim to position works within a global discourse.
International Expansion (From 2027)
Beginning in 2027, ART AND CAFE GALLERY will actively organize exhibitions overseas. Target regions include Asia, Europe, and North America — cities where contemporary art, fashion, and lifestyle culture intersect. Our goal is not to simply 'export' Japanese artists, but to introduce them as voices capable of genuine dialogue within international contemporary art contexts.
Relationship with NO ART NO JAPAN
ART AND CAFE GALLERY also serves as the foundation for the artist-led apparel brand NO ART NO JAPAN. Concepts and ideas presented through exhibitions are translated into wearable forms, allowing art to circulate beyond gallery walls and into everyday life. This process creates a sustainable cultural ecosystem where art continues to move, evolve, and connect with society.
Our Position as a Commercial Gallery
ART AND CAFE GALLERY operates as a commercial contemporary art gallery. However, our focus extends beyond short-term transactions. We emphasize:
